"Philanthropy isn't just a part of ADPi; it's at the very heart of our sisterhood and one of the main reasons I was drawn to this chapter during recruitment."

Hi everyone!

I'm Kailyn, a rising third-year physiological sciences major and applied developmental psychology minor. I'm ADPi’s current Director of Philanthropy and former community service specialist. During my time in ADPi, I've loved working with our chapter’s philanthropy organization, Ronald McDonald House Charities, a global non-profit that provides housing and support to families with children facing serious illness. Ronald McDonald Houses offer affordable places to stay near hospitals, helping families be close to their children during times of need.

At ADPi, we support these families through our Meals with Love initiative, donation drives, Walk for Kids, and our annual Lion’s Cup event. Meals with Love allows us to cook at the Ronald McDonald House of Pasadena, providing families with a warm, home-cooked meal. Walk for Kids at the Rose Bowl is a blast—we help the Westside LA Ronald McDonald House with arts and crafts and get everyone pumped up to participate in all the fun activities! Lion’s Cup is ADPi’s biggest event, our annual soccer tournament with other Greek organizations where we raise money for RMHC. We get to be team captains, referees, and more — it’s always a highlight of the year!

ADPi has been nothing short of transformative for me. The incredible support and encouragement I've received here have truly fueled my passion for community service and healthcare. The girls in ADPi have not only shown me how to pursue these interests through our chapter and RMHC but have also inspired me to dream bigger. Every service event is a reminder of our unwavering commitment to bettering the community and helping those in need. Philanthropy isn't just a part of ADPi; it's at the very heart of our sisterhood and one of the main reasons I was drawn to this chapter during recruitment.

Through ADPi and RMHC, I've had countless opportunities to combine leadership and service in meaningful ways. Whether it's organizing events, cooking for families, or participating in fundraisers, I've been able to make a tangible difference. ADPi has been a cornerstone of my college experience, providing me with a community of supportive, like-minded friends who share my values and aspirations. I am endlessly grateful for the chance to grow, lead, and serve alongside these amazing women!
